Hi!

I thought I'd share a post about an experiment of mine wrapping the
functionality of the Async class in Hamcrest matchers:

http://www.patrickmowrer.com/2010/08/19/improving-readability-of-asynchronous-tests-in-flexunit4-using-hamcrest-matchers

Though I have little idea of what's planned for Async going forward, I
did stumble on a post here from June that suggested creating something
like this. If it's anything the community finds interesting, I'd be
happy to continue working on it. As it stands right now, its not
finished nor polished, and I'd be happy to take any feedback on how to
improve on it and make it more consistent with FlexUnit.

Looks interesting. Have you seen morefluent http://bitbucket.org/loomis/morefluent?  It has support for both synchronous and asynchronous event dispatching. It also supports hamcrest matchers.

Hi Kris,

That looks very nice! Though I've been using your Mockito project,
this other project of yours unfortunately didn't turn up in my search
for this type of thing a few weeks ago.

Now that 4.1 is almost out the door, the three of us plus David should arrange a chat. I would like to explain the changes I am considering for async in 4.2 that would enable all of you to make this stuff even easier and cleaner.

@Patrick, I rather like the look of that.

@Mike, could I be in on that chat too? Async is my biggest bugbear
with FlexUnit.

cheers,
Drew
