I've just tried FP Adaptive UI.
Is it normal that the viewer in HTML5 mode download entire PDF file before showing up?
Do you plan to "fix" this behavior in the final version?
Are there any workaround to avoid this?

Hi Micred,
This is how the viewer currently works when rendering in html5 mode. We plan on adding split mode rendering for html5 so that only visible pages are download and rendered.

Hi UFO,
You can use our HTML4 format to render the document as well. Rendering in HTML allows you to split the document into individual pages which does not download the entire document before displaying it. We hope on adding split mode for HTML5 in the near future as well.

All the best

Hi,

Do you support HTML5 split downloading already? I checked the online demo here:

It seems, that it downloads the whole PDF (480KB). What if I point it to a 10MB PDF?

I haven't decided yet, which method to use (HTML5 or SWF), and this is important before buying. I have 16k docs and 600k pages, so SWF errors and limitations mean a lot of work for me :-(

Thanks,

UFO

Have you got a time frame on this - we are a current client and are having to continue to use the SWF version because of this feature and its really killing us! We cant wait too much longer.

This functionality has been added, we're still doing some final verification and testing but let us know and we'll send you a release candidate for this.
