Disable 'Back'/Left side flips

I'd like to disable the back/left side flips as I have created a one-page solution with the flip effect in tact but after changing the page and hovering over the top-left / bottom-left will put a blank page over the content page (as each page has a blank between to fix for one page view).

I have tried overlaying a div/image to cover the hover spots (and even set z-index:400; pointer-events:none !important;) but it always detects the mouse.

Simply - Is this possible?
