One afternoon at a group meeting, Dawn is introduced to Tobey. Dawn, her friends Gwen and Phil, and Tobey begin going out together as a group. Though Dawn and Tobey are attracted to each other, they initially agree they should not spend time alone together. However, they later give in and meet at a local swimming hole. After their swim, they enter a cave to get warm and begin kissing. Dawn becomes uncomfortable and tries to persuade Tobey to go back outside, but he becomes aggressive. When Dawn tries to push him off, he shakes her, smacking her head on the ground and dazing her. As Tobey attempts to rape her, she fights back and somehow, his penis is cut off when it enters her vagina. A horrified Dawn flees the scene.

After a Promise meeting, Dawn runs into her classmate Ryan at a dance. He drops her off at her home and asks her out on a date, but she declines. Dawn returns to the swimming hole and screams in horror when she sees a crab crawling on Tobey's severed penis. She drops her purity ring off a cliff. She then researches vagina dentata and realizes she may have it. She visits a gynecologist, Dr. Godfrey, but he assaults her during the examination, reaching up inside her without a glove. She panics and her vagina bites off four fingers on his right hand. On her way home, she sees several police vehicles passing her, as well as a car that resembles Tobey's. That evening, she returns to the pool to investigate. When she arrives, the police are bringing up Tobey's body. Dawn returns home to find her ailing mother, Kim, unconscious on the floor while Brad and Melanie are in his room having sex. Kim is taken to the hospital.

Hysterical, Dawn goes to Ryan seeking help. Ryan gives her a sedative and stimulates her with a vibrator. Though initially afraid she will hurt him, she finds that when she is relaxed and consenting, her "teeth" do not engage. The following morning, they have sex again, but during intercourse, Ryan's friend calls. Ryan smugly boasts that he had made a bet with the friend that he could goad Dawn into sex. In her anger, her vagina bites off his penis and she leaves as he screams in agony.

Dawn's stepfather Bill attempts to throw Brad out of the house, but Brad sets his pet Rottweiler on Bill, confessing his love for Dawn. Dawn meets Bill and Melanie at the hospital after her mother has died. Seeing her stepfather injured and hearing from Melanie how Brad told her to ignore her mother's cries for help, Dawn becomes emboldened by her power and goes home to seek revenge. She applies make-up and goes to Brad's room to seduce him. In the midst of the act, Brad recalls that, when they were children, Dawn bit his finger, but it was not her mouth that bit him. As he realizes this, Dawn's vagina bites off his penis. She drops it on the ground and although Brad calls his dog to attack her, the animal instead eats the penis, spitting out the pierced glans. Dawn leaves.

Dawn cycles away from home, but her bicycle tire sustains a puncture, prompting her to hitchhike. She accepts a lift from an old man, but falls asleep and wakes up after nightfall outside a convenience store. When she tries to exit his car, he repeatedly locks the doors while licking his lips. Dawn hesitates, then turns to the old man with a mischievous smile.

Foundation artistic director at the Sundance Film Festival Mystelle Brabbe claimed it was "one of the most talked-about films at the Sundance Film Festival this year".[5] Jess Weixler won the Special Jury Prize for Dramatic Performance (and tied with Tamara Podemski from the film Four Sheets to the Wind).[6]

In 2010, Dr. Gilreath and his wife Channie brought Hollywood to Marietta as they produced 96 Minutes, a dramatic film starring Brittany Snow, Evan Ross and David Oyelowo. Gilreath was one of the 4 producers on the film and his wife Channie was a co-producer and was set decorator. Channie and their daughter Birdie was also featured in a scene in the film. 96 Minutes was shot in Marietta, Cartersville and Atlanta. It was accepted to the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) in Austin in 2011 and won critical acclaim including a Best Actor nod for Evan Ross. It is slated for worldwide release in 2012.

One of the most surefire ways to make an audience cower in their seats and hide their eyes behind their hands is to hint that something nasty is about to happen to a character's chompers. Whether they're the protagonist, antagonist, or a lowly side character, the moment a set of pearly whites is threatened, everyone is diving away from the screen and reaching for their floss.

Many of the films included here are horror films, but there are plenty of dramas (and even a musical) that make use of the audience's aversion to seeing a set of human Chiclets get smashed to bits. All of these scenes are hard to watch, but it's up to you to determine which one makes you clench your jaw until your skull aches.

Who expects to get caught up in a diamond-smuggling ring led by a war criminal? Not "Babe" Levy. After his brother, a secret agent, is murdered while trying to stop Christian Szell, "The White Angel," from absconding from the US with a cache of diamonds, Babe is caught up in the whole mess, and it goes sour quick.

Babe is kidnapped by a couple of thugs working for Szell, and he winds up in an interrogation chair. Szell's preferred method of extracting information involves - you guessed it - archaic dental equipment. Szell holds Babe's head in his arms and just starts digging around in the poor guy's mouth while monologuing in that creepy German accent that every war criminal seems to have.

After he's hypnotized by his sister and receives the post-hypnotic suggestion to "be more open-minded," Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) starts having weird visions at inopportune times. One of these comes in the middle of the night when Witzky steps into his bathroom. He notices one of his front teeth has turned rotten, so he does what any good horror movie protagonist would do and pulls it right out.

The scene in question is, as the French say, "rpugnante." Bacon pulls out the tooth with gusto, but it's not just a tooth - there's a string of blood and spit that remains attached to his mouth, and it feels like you could just reach out and grab it.

After spending 15 years trapped in a hotel room that doubles as a prison eating egg rolls and losing his mind, Oh Dae-su sets out across South Korea to find out who destroyed his life. Oh Dae-su dishes out brutal punishment through hand-to-hand combat to everyone who gets in his way, but he's not averse to using a tool to get what he wants.

Oh Dae-su follows a delivery driver carrying the same egg rolls that he ate when he was incarcerated and finds the private prison in the heart of Seoul. He makes his way to the warden and, to get information about who locked him up, Oh Dae-su rips out the warden's teeth using the claw end of a hammer. It's a cathartic moment, but holy moly, it'll make your fillings ache.

Being possessed isn't just vomiting pea soup and crab-walking - some kids actually know how to have fun with the whole "evil spirit living inside them" thing. After buying a dybbuk box at a garage sale, teenage Emily starts acting out, both at home and at school. She beats up a fellow student, she talks to an invisible woman, and she even makes a guy's teeth fall out with her mind.

As Emily grows into her demonic powers, she begins acting out in malevolent ways towards everyone around her, especially her mother's boyfriend. Before leaving for a trip with Emily's mother, he gets hit with the ol' demon whammy, and his teeth literally crumble out of his mouth while he claws at his face in his front yard.

When Wallace Bryton (Justin Long) heads to Manitoba to interview an internet celebrity, he ends up at the house of Howard Howe, an old seaman with an affinity for the mighty walrus. Howe is so fascinated with a walrus who saved him following a shipwreck that he drugs Bryton, amputates his legs, and transforms him into a new and improved "Mr. Tusk."

During a particularly grim scene of exposition from Howe, Bryton is laid out on a makeshift surgical table and outfitted with a walrus suit; it's made from human skin, and the tusks are made from the bones that used to be his legs. As rough as it is to see Bryton laid out on the operating table, the tusks are sickening.

Nothing's worse than a doctor with an ax to grind, especially if that doctor has his own secret medical facility beneath a Swiss castle where he performs craven experiments on human subjects. In A Cure for Wellness, a young financial services executive makes the mistake of investigating a wellness center in the Swiss Alps that's run by Dr. Heinreich Volmer.

Volmer doesn't want anyone to know that he's carrying out brutal experiments on his patients. Rather than just throw Lockhart off a cliff or something, he decides to drive Lockhart crazy through various gruesome experiments, and the one that will probably keep you up at night involves a drill, a tooth, and zero anesthetics.
