Dear colleagues,

Release 0.6 of ALOE++ has been publishedhttp://flexnets.github.io/aloe/. It features:

 - Downlink channels: PDSCH, PBCH, PCFICH and PDCCH.
 - Complete isolation of transmitter and receiver. Receiver reconfigures its parameters based on the received and decoded control information.
 - End-to-end PHY processing latency of 8 ms. We are working on reducing this figure.
 - First Uplink models of PUSCH and PUCCH. New features will be added.
 - UDP sink/source modules.
 - Waveform development and verification tools.
 - And many more...

Check also the project web site [https://sites.google.com/site/osldproject/documents] for the description of the project status.

Thanks for your interest!
The OSLD Team

Hi Ismael,

Is there a step-by-step howto on how to get a demo working? And do you
have a video, demonstrating current capabilities? It's a bit hard to
understand what could be achieved with the system from user
perspective.

Hi Alexander,

There is a step-by-step howto in the website https://github.com/flexnets/aloe/wiki. It's quite easy to compile and run a simple test where random data is generated and transmitted/received through the PDSCH.

Another test scenario we are preparing is to stream a video through the transmitter running on one PC, send the baseband samples to udp/usrp, and process the received samples on another PC that reproduces video. The code is almost ready, but we are finishing the documentation and some minor details.

A demonstration video would definitely show the capabilities of our system. Thank you for your suggestion. We hope to have it ready by the end of the month.

Best regards,
Ismael
