The
Process Flow
Customer visits merchant website, selects the goods / service of his choice represented in the website.
Merchant presents the order / reservations page to the customer with the transaction amount in India Rupees ( & preferred Foreign Currency in case of international transactions - The currency conversion from INR to the selected foreign exchange would be performed by the Merchant)
On Selection of credit card as a payment mode, the merchant servers would transmit an encrypted digital order to the payment gateway systems, with the amount field in INR.
A client software would be installed at the Merchant server site to facilitate generation of encrypted digital orders and decryption of digital receipts. The digital order generated would contain the session id, merchant id key, return URL, amount and locale to identify the transaction.
Customer would be presented with two secure Payseal screens (128 bit SSL protected). Payseal would capture consumer card details from the consumer browser, based on the consumer order information provided by the server systems.
Payseal would receive the authorization for the required amount and pass on the same to the client server via a digital receipt. It would take under 15 seconds for Merchant to receive the digital receipt on receiving the details from the customer.
Merchant would confirm the order to the customer in the selected property.
Merchant to capture the transaction for every sub merchant within 13 days from the date of authorization receipt. On line capture would occur via a merchant administration module provided to the merchant, providing access to the gateway server.
Merchant would receive transaction amount net of the agreed transaction charges into the respective ICICI Bank merchant id accounts on submission of POD (Proof of Delivery / Completion of Service).
Merchant would receive the
corresponding FIRC (Foreign Inwards Remittance
Certificate) documents
to deposit foreign exchange in their EEFC account for
foreign exchange
transactions.
