Showing Quick search div without resizing the grid

Hi all,

First of all, congratulations for the work on flexigrid and the
answers that can be found in this group.
My question is: Is it possible to show the quick search div without
resizing the whole table. I would like to have this div sliding above
the bottom (toolbar) and not the bottom toolbar sliding below the
quick search div.

I am not a javascript specialist but any suggestion is welcome.
