Hello fellow flexers,
I am new to the whole flex deal and would like your
advice on a component that I am trying to develop. This component has
two modules 1. image editor .. like a wysiwyg but something that edits
an uploaded image. 2. a pdf converter. The options I have is to go
either the JS way ( which could be cumbersome) or for a flex+flash
based approach. Have any of you implemented something like this and
how complex is it to develop something like this ?

Thanks in advance,
Harish

Even I am quite interested in PDF conversion in Flex. The other day I
was going thru some docs and I think PDF support inside Flex is
provided by Acrobat reader/Acrobat installed on the clients machine.
AIR:Release_Notes#Displaying_PDF_files_in_AIR). I am not sure if Flex/
Air has in built support for PDF's. May be other group members can
throw some light on it.

Thanks,
Anish Kumar

http://www.bytearray.org/?p=101 (Alive PDF) seems like a good
alternative to Acrobat. Thanks for the link Mrinal.
