Bible Translation Editor disappeared

I was running FLEx 8.3.13.43193 on Zorin, which is based on Ubuntu. I must have updated to FLEx v. 9 without realizing it because when I opened it today, it migrated the data. That's probably fine, but the Bible Translation Editor is no longer showing up on my system. Can anyone guide me to troubleshoot what happened to it?

My data is still in its folder. I just can't edit it.

If you are using Translation Editor, then you need to stay with (go back to) FieldWorks 8.3.  Translation Editor is no longer a part of the FieldWorks suite, from 9.0 on.

Do you know how to go back to an earlier version?  If not, I expect Mark Strobert might be able to help.  I am not sure if there is an easy way, now that FW 9.0 has been declared stable.

Did you make a backup of your project just before you updated?  If you can get FW 8.3 installed again, it will only be able to open backups that you made with FW 8.3.  It will not be able to open the "live" project data, since it has been migrated to FW 9.0.

I've been looking for documentation on going back to 8.3, but I have not found it. Any pointers would be welcome.
