Andreas,

a suggestion: Make sure you use the latest version of LibreOffice.
If you go for http://www.portableapps.com then the LO installation is
in one folder and you may have two or more LO versions on your
computer.

Great.

Did you de-activate the font replacement table in LO Writer? (see attachment).
You get to the dialog box through menu 'Tools' / 'Options'

There is always the option of asking him by mail :-) ....
You might send as well a cut-down version of your dictionary with a
set of typical entry types to check.

LibreOffice 4.0 has a comprehensive and well structured User Guide (400 pages).

https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/

Make sure you have the latest version of PathWay. I recently did it by
downloading the
PathwayBootstrap-1.nn.exe which then installs what you need. See
earlier mails in this list.
It was straightforward.

One thing PathWay does not do but what would be nice is to have the
letter headings

A a

B b

C c

formatted as regular heading2 styles. That would allow the LibreOffice
Writer PDF export function to generate an outline in the PDF file. But
on the other side it does not take all that much time to assign the
style manually.

I absolutely love portableapps.com and use its products constantly (esp.
its versions of Thunderbird, WinMerge, Notepad++, WinDirStat, and
Audacity). And if you want multiple versions on the same computer, then
it's particularly good for that. However, I did find it unwieldy for
running products like LO or Firefox (if you use them often), since those
tend to run faster and more conveniently when they're actually installed.

For those who are interested in working in ms Word rather than LibreOffice, there is a little script that allows the user to import the Configured XHTML export from Flex into Word. Here is a link: https://code.google.com/p/pathway/downloads/detail?name=SetupmsWordExport-1.0.msi&can=2&q= If you drop the XHTML file onto the ImportFlex2Word.bat, it will launch Word with the XHTML content. The styles are also tagged. Since Flex doesn't contain any information about picture size, sometimes they import much bigger than you would like.

I have also included the C# source. For those who like to adjust it, the LGPL license allows you to make changes. If you think the changes will be useful to others (or to me), let me know. I made this a prototype with the idea of eventually including a Word export into Pathway. (Microsoft will allow free downloads of the express version of C#.)
