I recently migrated to a new computer. I loaded FLEx on the new machine and transferred my multiple projects to the new computer/version using send/receive. Most of the projects transferred just fine, but a few don't show up in my projects list. However, when I try to use send/receive again, to transfer them from the old machine, it tells me that the project already exists...even though it still doesn't show in the list of projects. Is this something I should send to FLEX-errors?

Did you use "Get Project from Colleague..." to get them onto the new computer?  That is the recommended way.

Also, do you use OneDrive by any chance?  Is there a possibility that some of the projects ended up there?  Normally it does not work well to store FieldWorks projects on OneDrive.

I recommend looking in the location(s) where your projects are stored, and see if there is more than one location.

If you have a project open, you can see where that is stored by doing:
File / Project Management / FieldWorks project properties
then look at the General tab, under Location.

Go to that place on your computer, and see what other projects are in the Projects folder.

Then look and see if there is another place on your computer where other projects are stored.  You could search for the names of some of the projects that it says exist, even though they are not in your list.

You may indeed need help from FLEx_...@sil.org to get it sorted out.

Yes. I did.

No. I did not/do not.

How would I know that?

If you have a project open, you can see where that is stored by doing:
File / Project Management / FieldWorks project properties
then look at the General tab, under Location.

Well, that won't work, because I can't open a project that isn't in the list of existing programs, can I?

Go to that place on your computer, and see what other projects are in the Projects folder.

I did find where my projects are stored. ALL of my projects have folders in that same location, including the ones that don't appear in the list of existing projects. The folders are all there. So, FLEx is just not showing them to me/allowing me to access them.

Then look and see if there is another place on your computer where other projects are stored.  You could search for the names of some of the projects that it says exist, even though they are not in your list.

They all appear to be in the same folder. Just some of them are on the list of projects and some are not.

You may indeed need help from FLEx_...@sil.org to get it sorted out.

Okay, I'll reach out to them. Thanks.
