Yes, but it requires installing and running a virtual machine like Ubuntu. It's a fairly involved process requiring you to partition your hard drive--which means you need to have a decent amount of hard drive space.

I use it with Parallels Desktop and it works fine but yeah, it is a pain to have to do that

I’ve used Parallels, the biggest pain is the cost of its subscription. Otherwise, with 500gb storage and 12 RAM I never had a problem running FLEX. As mentioned you have to partition your harddrive, but it’s not that difficult.

I can't answer your question directly, but I will say I run FLEx on a
Linux PC using WinBoat, which runs Windows inside a Docker container and
gives it access to a directory in the Linux file system. I previously
tried Wine, which attempts to reverse engineer the Windows APIs, but
FLEx would not run in Wine.

Some similar ways of running Windows programs on a macbook are described

I have no experience with any of them (I don't own a Mac), so I can't
say whether any of them would work with FLEx.

In 2024 I made a video about how to run SIL Software, including FieldWorks, on MacOS using UTM w/ Windows 11 arm on Apple Silicon.  I haven't run into any issues.

Hi Chris,

When i started installing windows from utm, i had this message. I followed instructions bellow, nothing worked. I even try to use a bootable usb key, but it didn't work. Can you help please.

Finally, in the first UTM paramètres, i created a second image and chosed intel intead of Silicon, and it worked 😅
