Subject: Re: [FLEx] Better deferenciation of under meaning or second meaning in the dictionary.
Could you give me an example in English of an 'idiom' which is not a collocational or contextually governed sense?

It is true that a difference in the part of speech leads to the decision to treat the senses as separate entries, but this is not always the case. LEX201 A5: Introduction to Sense Discrimination and LEX201 A6: Sense Discrimination Guidelines in DLS's online course provide lexicographic principles for deciding whether two senses belong in the same entry or in different entries.
Idioms are a specific type of complex form. Complex forms and how to enter them in FLEx are discussed in LEX201 B1: Complex Forms and LEX201 B2: More About Complex Forms.
Perhaps someone else can help with special collocational senses. I'm not aware that FLEx has a specially designed mechanism for handling these, so it will be interesting to hear from other FLEx users what they have done to include them in their dictionaries.
Best wishes,
Kevin

I'm not sure if this is what you want or not, but it is possible to format the senses so that each is displayed in its own paragraph, rather than run together in a single paragraph. When there are example sentences, this feature is often desired.
If it would help to have your entries formatted like this
instead of like this
then you want to tick the box shown in the image below

It's more of an entertaining idiom than anything else - and famous!

This is a Windows method to keep your keyboards from applying to multiple applications. The default to have it unchecked. In the Windows search box, type Advanced keyboard settings and click and check "Let me use a different input method for each app.”
