Hi all,

I sometimes work on my database from more than one computer, & because
our IT tech can't get the networking setup to function, I back up
changes made on one PC to our server, then restore on the other PC.
However, recently the restore feature stopped working--it *acts* like
it is restoring, but at the end of the process my recent changes are
not there. The only fix I've found is to restore under a different
name, but I don't want multiple databases!

Anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to fix it?

Thanks,

Lynnika

Hi all,

I'm new to FLEx. Does anyone have the link to download a good copy of FLEx for Mac?

What kinds of "recent changes", specifically? Is this happening just to
config settings (a significant annoyance), or is it happening to data in
lexical entries too (truly frightening)?

Earlier versions of FLEx couldn't back up all of the settings, but I
thought this was no longer the case. What does happen fairly often to me
in 7.2.2 is that FLEx will tell me it has lost track of which dialogs
I've permanently dismissed. That doesn't bother me. (And I think maybe
it loses view columns sometimes? I'm not sure.)

BTW, based on what you've written, I suspect one workaround would be to
delete or rename the database first rather than restoring over the top
of it. (To rename it, go to Project Properties.)
