Hi all,

I'm relatively new to Flex, so, please have patience :)

I've been using the Keyman IPA-SIL to enter phonetic symbols in the Pronunciation field. Suddenly and for no apparent reason, however, this method simply stopped working. When I switch my keyboard to IPA-SIL it either becomes unresponsive in the Edit window or only certain keys work. Note that the problem is exclusive to Flex, as the keyboard works perfectly fine in text editors (both rich-text and standard), and here as well. By the way, even when the keyboard entry method was still working, specific characters, such as <=> for the glottal stop [ʔ], showed problems.

Do you guys have any clue about what might be happening here?

Best regards,

This has been solved with a few PMs. In case anyone else is having the same problem:

The solution was to put "English (US)" as the first input source in the system settings: Open the keyboard settings (open system settings, then go to the "Keyboard" tab). Move "English (US)" to the top of the list. If "English (US)" is missing, please add it and move it to the top. Then restart FLEx. It is still possible to select and work with other keyboards, but just having the English (US) keyboard as the first one in the list makes the difference.
