Hello!

Is there a way to add more fields to the "New Entry" dialog box? Here:

I frequently need to add usage information at this point, so now I am going back to my text and having to open up the main entry in the lexicon.

So I want to add the usage field to the dialog I show above so I don't have to open the full entry.

Is this even possible?

Thanks!

There is a proposal to create an "Advanced New Entry" dialog that could have more fields than this one.  It is still under design, but some proposals:

 - Allow entering Citation Form.
 - Allow entering Inflection Features.
 - Allow the user to choose a small number of built-in fields to add to the dialog.
 - Allow the user to choose a small number of custom fields to add to the dialog.

It's not clear yet if it would be a separate dialog, or if there would be a way to enable these extra fields from the existing dialog.  We want to keep the existing one much as it is, but allow for other users to have more capability.

Thank you for letting me know!

My vote (if you are taking them, lol) would be to have two options. One would be the exact dialog box you have now. The other would be the exact interface you have for editing the entry, but in a popup form. Nice and simple. Users could decide which one they wanted to use. You can already customize the existing edit panel.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has come up against this issue.
