URGENT - internal error

I'm trying to meet a deadline to give a report to my supervisor, and FLEX fails to load with an internal error. I sent the error message to flexe...@sil.org.  But perhaps I might find help here more quickly?

Hi Benjamin,

 

These errors should be sent to flex_...@sil.com.  It looks like an error that has gotten into your data. 

One person said this was caused by an issue with OneDrive not syncing correctly. Once he restarted OneDrive the issue went away.  That could be the issue, but if not, you should be able to correct the problem by running the Find and Fix Data utility.

To run this utility:

 

1. Open your project and make a backup.  Then close your project.  Or if you can't open the project, delete the .lock file in your project directory* if it’s there.
2. Open a project other than the one you want to fix.  You can create a new project if you don’t have any others.
3. Go to Tools -> Utilities and check ‘Find and Fix errors etc.’.  Click ‘Run checked Utilities Now’
4. Check the project you want to fix in the list of projects that appears.  Click ‘Fix Links’.
5. If any errors are found, you will get a report of the changes.
6. Click ‘Ok’ or press enter and hopefully things will work.

*The default location on Windows is C:\ProgramData\SIL\FieldWorks\Projects\ProjName.  This could be hidden. If so, go to File Explorer, click File -> Options then on the Views tab, be sure ‘Show Hidden folder’ is selected. .
