Pasted a whole document into an example field

I just accidentally pasted an entire document into an example field. Now almost everything I try to do sends FLEx into a fit of non-responsiveness when I try to look at that entry. 

So, two questions… How do I fix this if it won't even let me open the entry

And two, can you add a field length limit on fields? I realize this may not be easy to do.

In my defense, I think this happened because a recent update to Keyman caused my Ctrl + C to no longer send the copy command. So I can easily think I have copied something (in this case my example sentence) when in fact I still have my previous text in the clipboard.

OK! I tried removing the example fields from the dictionary layout (temporarily) and eventually I was able to get the entry to show up in the lexicon list. That let me delete the whole entry. But it was really sensitive. Can't say this is a great solution.

If anyone has any other suggestions on how to deal with this in the future (it's bound to happen again) I'd love to hear.
