Hi NKWG,
Let's help each other easily stay up-to-date with NK news! [some of you I emailed individually -- sorry for the redundancy]
While our daily endeavors may make it challenging for each of us to stay individually appraised of all news on NK, as a group we can more easily stay up-to-date.
To achieve that, I am seeking to create a "NK news study group", as a low-effort low-commitment solution to stay current.
The idea is to have one monthly on-line meeting (for example via Google Hangouts), where we all contribute a bit about the relevant news we've learned throughout the month, and we all benefit form each other's contributions and insights.
These meetings are set according to the convenience of the majority (doodle poll), and it is ok if a person cannot make it to a particular meeting.
Whoever is interested in joining, please respond.
Thank you,
Albert
PS: About myself: I am from the U.S. and Spain. I entered Fletcher in 2011, and stayed an extra year to work on several research projects. My interests include NE Asia, maritime studies, and policy analysis. Before Fletcher I majored in business and worked in a CPA firm. During Fletcher I was quite involved with NK and China issues, attending any events organized by NKWG, and was also a TA-RA for Professor Lee. I did my summer internship in Seoul's think tank Korean Institute for National Unification. Now I wish to continue to follow NK issues...
