PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police believe alcohol may have played a role in a two-car crash that left two people dead and several others injured in Northeast Philadelphia. According to police, six people were involved in the accident which happened at the intersection of Cottman and Torresdale Avenues around 2 a.m. Sunday.
Four people in a Nissan Maxima were reportedly traveling westbound on Cottman Avenue when they were t-boned by a Chevy Malibu that ran a red light on Torresdale Avenue while traveling at a high rate of speed. The impact sent the Nissan into a pole and caused the Chevy to flip over.
In the decade from 2002 through 2011, speeding was a contributing factor in nearly one-third of all fatal crashes, claiming a total of 123,804 lives and resulting in an annual economic cost to society of about 40 billion dollars per year.
I'm curious as to whether anyone has any opinions on running speed test on mint Mobile. I have just moved from AT&T where I always relied on and trusted results I got from FAST.COM (powered by Netflix). On occasion, I'd run Ookla's speed test.net. results were always comparable
On mint mobile now, however, FAST.COM consistently shows speeds in the range of 1.5 Mbps to 2.5 Mbps, which on the surface, is poor. I drove around town, and tried from various locations (although I have no idea where the T Mobile towers are), and got similar results. However, speed test.net is reliably showing 50-60 Mbps down.
I've already made a video on this topic extensively covering my issues with the current gun to gun weapon switching speed however I will keep trying to bring attention to this topic since I believe having instant gun go gun switching will benefit the feel of the game immensely.
basically this formula tells us that weapon switching has 2 parts, that of holstering your current weapon and the other of equipping the swapped weapon, and i have reasons to believe this is incorrect, but we will get into that soon.
The developers have great ambitions with examples being Plains of Eidolon, Fortuna, Railjack and so much more, and they are busy, constantly being pestered about reworks rebalances, bugs, buffs, nerfs, and a lot more.they probably are flooded to their necks with what's happening in the world right now. And I believe they just forgot since so little people talk about it..
This has mostly led to people using one weapon most of the time and only switching when absolutely necessary or never, its a shame honestly because the whole weapon system opens itself to a huge amount of synergies between them. But thanks to the current holster speed its just not possible or impractical. when i can reload faster than switching weapons there is no point in doing so.
the reason why I believe there aren't any incentives from DE in the design from as you say, I believe its because they have been focused on melee for the longest time thanks to the massive rework we got, that brought the instant switching from either of our guns to our melees, of course dedicated melee is higher in control and options because it has been developed more.
Holster speed mods. Tho even then you aint using melee to its fullest if instant swapping/full melee swap takes the holster/swap animation time too. There needs to be mechanical synergy/use from build/mod side for it.
Temperature/speed difference. Id guess that the fan doesn't kick in for several layers on the MK4 and it cools more when it does compared to the Mk3. The same difference can be caused by different speeds. Faster speeds mean the filament extrudes faster which means it spends less time in the hotzone, therefore isn't as hot/viscous when extruded. Its basically a combination of factors that see-saw around.
I've printed sample test pieces and noticed the same thing when switching from IS Speed profile to IS Structural profile. While using the speed profile, the exterior sides of the print are matte black because the perimeter is being printed at full speed. The structural profile slows down the speed on the perimeter layers, and the result is high gloss. Because it only affects perimeter layers, the overall print speed is reasonably close. I've defaulted to simply use the structural profile for everything for this reason.
Fast, reliable internet service has become essential for everything from getting news to finding a job. But 24% of rural adults say access to high-speed internet is a major problem in their local community, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted earlier this year. An additional 34% of rural residents see this as a minor problem, meaning that roughly six-in-ten rural Americans (58%) believe access to high speed internet is a problem in their area.
By contrast, smaller shares of Americans who live in urban areas (13%) or the suburbs (9%) view access to high-speed internet service as a major problem in their area. And a majority of both urban and suburban residents report that this is not an issue in their local community, according to the survey, conducted Feb. 26-March 11. (The survey categorized Americans as urban, suburban or rural based on their own description of their community type.)
There are, however, some differences by age and by race and ethnicity. Rural adults ages 50 to 64 are more likely than those in other groups to see access to high-speed internet as a problem where they live. Nonwhites who live in a rural area are more likely than their white counterparts to say this is a major problem (31% vs. 21%). (Racial and ethnic differences are also present across a number of other perceived problems for communities, ranging from traffic to crime.)
For years, policymakers and advocates have looked to address broadband-related gaps between rural and non-rural communities in subscriptions, infrastructure, performance and competition. Data from the Federal Communications Commission show that rural areas are less likely to be wired for broadband services and tend to have slower internet speeds compared with other areas of the country. There are also fewer broadband providers operating in rural areas, which means consumers tend to have limited options when subscribing to high-speed services.
And while the broadband gap between rural and non-rural Americans has narrowed over time, rural adults remain less likely to have a high-speed internet connection at home. Seven-in-ten suburban residents and two-thirds of urban dwellers say they subscribe to broadband services at home, compared with 58% of rural adults, according to a separate Pew Research Center survey conducted in January.

We believe it, obviously, because we believe in relativity, and Einstein based his treatment of relativity on what he named ``The Principle of Constancy of the Velocity of Light.'' From Einstein's own writings between 1905 and about 1912 we know that in defining what this meant he was concerned especially about two issues: One was to deny the notion that the transmission of light required a privileged ``ether'' frame; the other was that the velocity of a light signal measured by an observer is independent of the velocity of the source that emitted the signal with respect to the observer. In relativity Einstein's two Principles made a handy brief basis from which he could deduce the requirement of covariance under the transformations of the Lorentz group. These transformations had been developed earlier by Lorentz to conform with the results of experiments, without requiring constancy of c. The Lorentz group only requires that c be an upper bound greater than all observed particle or signal velocities. The assumption of its invariance over cosmological time seems justified mostly by its convenience as a teaching and mnemonic oversimplification.
Alarms were raised from New York to Washington, DC, late Wednesday morning after the incident on the US side of the Rainbow Bridge crossing. Investigators believe the couple was traveling in a Bentley at high speed when it struck a curb at a checkpoint, then hit a guardrail that sent it airborne and into a screening area before exploding, according to the sources.
Investigators believe the man who diedhad plans to attend a KISS concert in Canada, but when it was canceled, he went to a casino in the US instead. The crash occurred sometime after the couple left the casino, the sources said.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the LA Lakers superstar cannot believe Hill caught a touchdown toward the end of the second quarter. James thought it was unfair how fast "Cheetah" was during the play wherein he outran three Philadelphia Eagles defenders.
It has been widely believed that James was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan growing up. He even received a tryout invite during the 2011 lockout from the Cowboys, but he's no longer a supporter of the team. He explained on Instagram Live last year why he now follows the Cleveland Browns.
Nearly 80% of American consumers say that speed, convenience, knowledgeable help and friendly service are the most important elements of a positive customer experience. Prioritize technologies that provide these benefits rather than adopting new technologies for the sake of being cutting edge.
There is a difference between day and night sharpness at wide open, day there is DOF wide open (it is bokeh you get wide open) use 2 stops up for best in daytime no need for speed and night there is sharpness close and far wide open.
I can understand the desire for the best of the best BUT Sony hits on all points every time a new something comes out! Since 2014 when there was few things and we used adapters to marry the old like film lenses or even the old Minolta. My first telephoto was the FE 24-240mm (360 in APS-C) (2015) is still my everyday carry for the surprise capture. 2020 a friend gave me a deal to remember on both the 2470 and 70200 f/2.8 GM's. I like night captures with stars or moon above (the day roof removed). I can tell the difference between 24240 and 70200 in sharpness mainly internal movements because external movements let dust inside that is not mentioned, also will there be a 2470 II internal movement, that was/is the most carried for travel. I carry the 2470 and 70200 on a second camera while doing Milky Ways because Deer walk around me eating and unafraid and 2470 2.8 is great.
Also not mentioned is a lens is sharpest/clearest at 2 stops above wide open so a 2.8 is sharpest 5.6 vs 8 getting faster SS. But no matter you do it with what you have.
Lastly sharpest sharpness today is in software that even gets rid of blur. I captured a lunar eclipse at 600mm that was great but zoomed in a couple movement rings (because it moves more the closer you capture) but with SW the rings were gone along with clarity of everything.
The II is just $500 more a lens is forever until a 1.8/1.4. Weight is not the point it is the use for and what a big bulky lens is needed, I carry on a heavy duty binocular harness easy to get to and hides under a photo vest even my 200-600 weighs nothing, why leave in a bag!
