Add Read-Only Mode for Authentication?

I was thinking it would great to allow other apps to access the
database via their clients, but I would like to prevent some of them
from doing write queries.
Can we add this to the FleetDB feature request list?

Hi Tim,

I don't plan to add authorization features to FleetDB in the near
future. If you would like to control access to the database based on
your business logic, I'd suggest proxying access to FleetDB via your
own service.
