I have previously played Forza Horizon 5 in the Xbox App with the Xbox Game Pass but only now I have purchased the game on Steam. Anyone know how to get that progress back on Steam, if possible at all?
So a friend and I have been in a private lobby game and we were on our third try, the first two time we make it about 7 to 8 days and after the crash we lost all progress and nothing was respawning. Now on the third try after we saw some work arounds to only loose maybe minutes of progress after crash we encounters where we were working on a house and after a crash half the house was gone and all storage was gone and no respawn happened, that was about day 10. Just now we hit day 22 and built a house from scratch instead of working on a pre built house in the game and after the crash we lost 90% of the house and all inventory we collected once again. I know that you guys have struggled with ownership and all but this is unacceptable, I don't even care for a new update to alpha19 or 20 or anything I just want you guys to fix what you have now and I know you guys can if the servers are still live which means you can still do hot fixes, this is just not right and if this continues your console version will never succeed.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE SIGNED INTO THE XBOX APP. ON PC.!!! (You may need to be signed into the Windows PC. with the same account so the PC. verification PIN matches up with the XBox user account when it asks on sign in. I am going to guess this is why your progress has not been restored. Windows PC. User Account changed?)
Over a month ago, I was prompted to update "MineCraft Xbox One Edition" to a new and improved version "MineCraft". Which I did. It was better overall and more up to date. I had countless issues with my Xbox however but still managed to put in hundreds of hours and make huge progress in my builds, playing while connected to Xbox Live. I ALWAYS saved the game before turning off the Xbox.
Tonight I had issues with my Xbox for several hours. I finally contacted Microsoft customer support and they suggested and walked me through resetting my Xbox One completely. I stated I was worried about my saved progress in MineCraft. They reassured me as long as I had been playing online and saving my progress I wouldn't lose anything. So I did all as instructed.
When I finished setting up my Xbox, loaded Minecraft, my world was there but the icon was black and white. It prompted me to sync old worlds, so I did. The game, while still playing the most recent update of "MineCraft" not "MineCraft Xbox One Edition" has reverted my saved data back to BEFORE the update. ALL MY PROGRESS IS GONE. Everything I've built in the past month or two (I've been playing non stop when I'm not at work) is GONE. I've tried and tried syncing again. Rebooted my Xbox, done everything I can think and yet still, my progress and all my hard work is lost. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours is gone. I had nearly completed a build, large and epic (my personal masterpiece) that has taken me YEARS to create and just like that, 90% of it is now gone.
To clarify, the "updated" version of Minecraft I'm referring to is the "Better Together" update. When I opened Minecraft Xbox One Edition over a month ago, it informed me of the "new version" and offered it to me freely. I downloaded it, merged (synced) my world to the new version and played it that way. Always remembering to save it. But it always worried me that there were now TWO separate versions of Minecraft on my Xbox One, and that all my newly saved data went to "Better Together" since that is where I was playing. When I performed the factory reset of my console last night, I chose the option to keep current apps and games. BOTH versions of Minecraft were still available. However, "Better Together" version no longer had my saved data but I could select to sync my old world from "Xbox One Edition". The problem here being that the most recent saves weren't registered to the original edition so performing a sync on an old world meant all progress had been lost since I had begun using "Better Together" version, since that version now had ZERO available saved data.
There is no cross progression. There is only cross play which means you can play with people on other platforms, but your progression is locked to that specific platform. Stuff you have on Xbox stays on Xbox, stuff you have on Steam stays on Steam, etc. etc.
You will notice that some merchandise will require you to have a certain amount of progression in a specific Company. For example, the \"Registry of Goods\" t-shirt will require you to have reached level 50 with the Merchant Alliance. You can see your progress underneath the item's picture. The button will remain locked until you meet that requirement.
Should you wish to order an item once it is unlocked, click the \"Order Now\" button visible beneath the progress bar. You will receive a notice stating you will be leaving the Sea of Thieves website - clicking \"Continue\" will then take you to the Rare Store where you can view pricing, sizes and then complete your order.
Pre-Requisite - Ensure you are signed up to receive Twitch Drops
The first step for earning Twitch Drops is to sign up to them through our official website. If you have not done so already, the process for completing this action is detailed in the supplied KBA below -
Twitch Drop - Account Linking and Confirmation
Please Note: You must ensure that you have linked the correct Xbox Live Gamertag to your Twitch account otherwise you won't receive them in-game!
Required Viewing
As you are now signed up for Twitch Drops and have confirmed that the correct accounts are linked, the next step is to watch either the official Sea of Thieves stream or those of our official partners on Twitch.
How do I earn my Twitch Drop?
Please either visit -drops for the latest details surrounding our Twitch Drops or proceed to and from the 'All Campaigns' section click our latest event from the 'Open Campaigns' section.
Can I keep track of my viewing time progress
As we are now using the latest Twitch Drops system, you can keep up-to-date with your progress towards a Twitch Drop via the progress bars which are displayed in a variety of areas throughout Twitch. These include:
Please Note: For this progress bar to update you must keep watching the Stream, not leaving it in a background window etc. Also you can only accrue this time from watching a single stream, so having multiple streams open will not earn these drops any faster though progress will continue when switching between streams.
How do I claim my Twitch Drop item?
Once you have completed the required viewing, the progress bars detailed in the previous step will change to a button prompt stating either 'Claim' or 'Claim Now'. You must then click one of these buttons to claim your drop.
Hey, thanks for the reply. It is 100% the correct account, I even have achievements and playtime on my xbox profile for Overwatch, and it says what my player level should be. I have never had another xbox account and as mentioned, I even got given back the loot boxes I bought a long while ago as unredeemed loot boxes.
Probably a late reply but what actually happens is that your progress is saved on battle net when you link your Xbox to it . Now when you are deleting your battle net account .mske sure to unlink your Xbox with current battle net and linking it to new battle net account .if you leave the link as it is .it will also delete your Xbox progress when old battle net account gets deleted
Overwatch 2 features Cross-Progression between your Console and Battle.net accounts. This requires the data from both Console and Battle.net to be merged. You will soon be prompted to either confirm that your correct Console and Battle.net accounts are linked, or to link your accounts if they are not already.
The steps to link your Console and Battle.net accounts can be found here. If you have linked the wrong Console account to your Battle.net account, you can find the steps on how to link the correct account here. Once you have linked your Console and Battle.net accounts, you will need to confirm the merge by signing into Overwatch 2 via your console account. Note that some account links have cooldowns limiting how often they can be changed. This varies based on the type of account, (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.), but you'll receive a warning in Battle.net account management specifying the specific cooldown length when disconnecting an account type that has a cooldown. Customer Support is unable to bypass these cooldowns.
Blizzard games featuring Cross-Progression store your progress on your Battle.net account, not your Console account. After Cross-Progression is enabled, and your Console and Battle.net accounts have merged, the Console account will no longer contain your progress such as cosmetics, Overwatch 1 credits, competitive points, and golden weapons unless it is linked to your Battle.net account.
After Cross-Progression is enabled, Battle.net, Xbox, and PlayStation in-game wallets will be shared. Virtual currency redeemed and/or purchased on Nintendo Switch can only be used for in-game purchases on Nintendo Switch. Virtual currency redeemed and/or purchased on any other platform will not be accessible on Nintendo Switch.
In-game purchases made with virtual currency will be accessible across linked accounts on all platforms. Virtual currency earned in-game will also be accessible across linked accounts on all platforms.
If you experience issues and cannot link your account, follow the steps here for assistance.
We are incredibly excited to be at the forefront of this great cross-platform movement. As we are among the first developers to offer cross-platform play and progression, we are still defining best practices hand-in-hand with platform providers.
