I wanted to do something different. I went into manage rosters and spent a good day deleting every player that was above an overall of 69(heh.) Free agency included. There seems to be 2-3 players that poof out of nowhere that are around 78-80 but I got rid of everyone I could.
Please give users greater abilities to modify rosters. Trading is currently not working in "Edit Rosters." Many players like to change the rosters prior to starting Franchise mode. Allow users to change contracts, injuries, X-Factor abilities in the edit roster mode. Many of these features are available in Franchise mode, but not in the main menu. Users are given so much more control of the roster management experience in other EA games (NHL and FIFA) but for some reason Madden has always limited this feature of the game. Please look into how other branches of EA have figured out how to make roster editing a fundamental part of the game and please implement this into Madden. Please fix the game. I can't start any of my Franchises right now because I can't edit the roster.
@EA_Kent Is there any way for the Madden Team to take a look at this? I tried filling out a bug report in the EA contact page, but the only option I have is to post on answers.ea.com instead of talking to someone. I have heard nothing from the Madden team for two weeks now and I still can't do anything with roster editing. Every time I try to edit rosters outside of franchise or any game mode, it always tells me I need to download the latest roster to make trades. If I do anything to the roster, like sign a free agent, or make a single trade, I can't go back in to make a trade. The message I get each time is, "A new roster is available! To trade players, you need the latest version. Download the update from Manage Rosters > Update Rosters." I do that, and again, I can only make one trade and the message pops up again.
Please contact back or send me the info on who to contact. This is the first Madden game that I've had this much trouble with rosters. Every Madden has had its fair share of issues, but this game is currently unplayable for me.
But no it gets worse I then have to cut like 40% of my 53 man roster! I can only have 38 players apparently? If I sign another free agent it tells me to cut 1 player! It's like the computer can't count or there's some invisible players that I can't see and cut on my roster
Hey guys I am making a fictional roster, only a few teams left to do, and free agency. Please give me some player names with the face you want me to use and the height thanks. And once done will be uploaded to share
Madden NFL 24 is on the horizon, which means that EA has revealed all of the new player and team ratings ahead of the full launch. These new ratings are always a hot topic in the Madden community, with players debating which players have been either overrated or underrated. These and more conversations all stem from the team-by-team and player-by-player ratings that annually create friendly debate in the Madden world. In this guide, we're breaking down the complete Dallas Cowboys roster, including overall (OVR) ratings for every starter and the team's best players. Here's what the Cowboys look like for the launch of Madden 24.
BySteve Noah Published on December 21, 2023ShareTweetCommentJust in time for the Thursday Night Football game between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams, the official Madden NFL 24 roster update for week 16 is available now. These weekly roster updates include changes to player ratings, based off of previous week results.
Do you remember that scene in the Office, where Michael looks at Toby and says, "I hate so much of what you choose to be?" That's how I feel about Madden. Luckily, our own Kurt Hutchinson took the plunge and picked up this year's roster update/Madden title, and while I was skeptical at first, his writeup gives me some hope for the game.
Earlier this week, we recapped the top Madden ratings for several Broncos players, including Justin Simmons, Jerry Jeudy and players from a few other position groups. Now, EA Sports has finished revealing the ratings for the rest of the roster.
The Madden 24 Week 13 Roster Update Release Date approaches this week, with new rating adjustments for several players across all 32 teams. EA Sports provides weekly roster update for Madden players, with the goal to reflect accurate rosters and fair player ratings. However, these updates do not address any gameplay issues or improve any mode. Rather, the updates just focus on player ratings, new FA signings, and roster cuts, waivers, injuries, and more.
A player is only allowed to compete for the school that they enrolled in. A player will not be allowed to compete for more than one school simultaneously and therefore cannot be listed on the roster of more than one school. To verify that these players are officially enrolled at their school, each player must be verified by the team's coach or another member of the faculty. For the avoidance of doubt, the verification of a player is an agreement to a summary of the Rulebook needed by League Officials to verify eligibility and confirm agreement by player and team.
As Madden NFL 24 is a solo esport title then a substitution would involve removing a player completely from the roster and replacing them with a new player to now solely play for the enrolled team. This will only be available for the first 4 weeks of the regular season, at which point rosters will be locked and substitutions/roster updates will no longer be permitted.
I spent WAY too many hours playing John Madden football when I was in my twenties. Specifically, the thing I liked most about it was playing a "General Manager" role and trying to assemble a great team that could win Super Bowls year after year. I wouldn't even play the actual games, instead I would have the computer simulate the games so that it was only the quality of the roster that was determining the outcomes. I spent my time focused on the Draft, trading players, contract negotiation and determining who to sign as a free agent. I've always thought I would love that job in real life - except for the heavy travel and time away from family that it likely requires.
When I used to play John Madden, I built my roster around speed. I wanted the fastest players available at running back, wide receiver, defensive back and linebackers. At Credera, I have a longer list of the things I look for beyond the role specific skills and capabilities:
