Solstice Ride - Dec 21

Hi all,

Bike Walk Tompkins and FLCC are co-hosting another Winter Solstice Ride:

When: Wed 12/21, meet at 5:15pm and be ready to roll out at 5:30pm

Where: Meet at the Ithaca Children's Garden (121 Turtle Lane, Ithaca)

3 ride options available (all are short...short rides for the shortest day of the year):

Option 1: Cayuga Waterfront Trail to the Ithaca Farmers' Market, pause for hot drinks & snacks provided by BWT and maybe a quick photo, returning to start (family friendly!)

Option 2: ...from the Farmers Market, continue over Dey St. to  Fall Creek for a loop to enjoy the solstice "luminary" lights as follows: East on Lincoln, South on Tioga, West on Farm, North on Utica. Return via Dey St. to start

Option 3: ...from Fall Creek, continue S on Cayuga St., R on Court, L on Geneva and R on State to Liquid State for additional self-funded refreshments and toasts.

If you plan to ride, bring lights and dress brightly!

"Corker" is a new term for me:  this person would make sure all bottles are properly corked before riders remount for another portion of the ride?

For the Solstice ride on 12/21 (meetup 5:15) in case there's any confusion, all routes start at the Ithaca Children's Garden in Cass Park. 

The 3 options are successively longer, with a lead/sweep/corker volunteer team desired for each route.

If you volunteer to help with route Option 1 or route Option 2, please plan to finish the ride back at ICG/Cass.

If you volunteer to help with route Option 3, we're expecting people will find their way home from Liquid State.
