I had another premature baby (a son-now 14 years old), and this one came complete with special needs including multiple heart defects, eye problems, a kidney disorder, hearing loss and reflux of the urinary AND GI tracts. I like to think of him as an overachiever. He has autism, has had numerous surgeries and more struggles than anyone should ever face, but he and his sister make me laugh every day.
Hello wordpress.com, 2014 was such a beautiful year of great and memorable achievements. I believe the attainment of such heights have inspired the team and everybody who is associated with wordpress, to dream bigger, prepare to work harder, with the knowledge that 2015 can only get better and bigger.

I cannot express my gratitude.Thank you WordPress friends for bringing out something that I never knew was in me. I have worked with your support happiness engineering team, and they are awesome. I would like to go to one of your camps to talk about writing, design and photography.
Writing a blog had never been a dream of mine but communicating with our textile students has been. Being able to share a vision has become a paramount experience for me. I am able to do that by blogging. WordPress has made it easy, attainable and fun to do all that is required to make that happen. To date, I have written over 300 blogs and when I started, I wondered if I could keep it up???? I started at 65. I am still so thrilled about sharing images and stories in a way that was not possible even 15 years ago. Thank you WordPress.
Almost exactly one year ago, Jordyn Wieber stood in a courtroom and testified against Larry Nassar, telling her story of surviving his abuse. Today, the gold medal-winning Olympic gymnast stood at another podium in front of an entirely different audience as she accepted a Voices of the Year Award. The VOTYs honor women with some of the strongest voices of the past 12 months and were hosted by SHE Media CEO Samantha Skey at #BlogHer Health 2019 in Los Angeles.
Following the loss of her brother, Edna Chavez became one of the leading voices of the student-led movement against gun violence and gave one of the most memorable speeches at the March for Our Lives.
This is it. We made it. Season 4 finale. As many of you know, Project Voice has been running for a little over 2 years since November 2016. When I first started the podcast, I only expected myself to produce 15 episodes at the most.
About a year ago, Minnie Ng and I invited Jen Sungshine to share with us not only her history and experience in activism and video production under Love Intersections but her insights about collaborating with other multitalented QTPOC artists as well.
I've had the awesome opportunity to interview Jenn Fang of Reappropriate, known as "one of the oldest AAPI feminist and racial activist blogs" on the Net, on Project Voice right before our official rebranding launch! Active for almost 20 years as a blogger, Jenn will speak on how much the online Asian activist community has grown and changed since she started.
"Empowering Voices: AAPI Power Through Media, co-hosted by Smith College Asian Students Association, Vietnamese Students Association, and Pan Asians in Action, provides a platform on campus for Asian American and Pacific Islander voices, bringing light to issues about identity. We first wrote about her in a post that profiled four Malawian female bloggers, on November 4th, 2007. This time we write about her exclusively, and her recent achievement solely to do with her blog. Malawian blogger Pilirani Semu-Banda has won a scholarship award that will take her to the BlogHer '09 conference in Chicago, USA. The conference will be held July 24-25. Ms. Semu-Banda is one of 5 winners, with the other winners being Annie Zaidi (India), Cristina Quisbert (Bolivia), Toyin Ajao-Dawodu (Nigeria) and Esra'a El Shafei (Bahrain) (Ms. El Shafei is unable to attend this year due to another commitment).
I kicked off last year with 3 words that helped define my goals and experiences for the coming year: honesty, present and learn. Looking back at the year progress was made, but my three words will continue to play a role in the new year. I have plenty more to do and learn.
BlogHer in New York City with Stonyfield
This year I headed into one of my favorite places, New York City, to attend BlogHer. BlogHer is the largest blogging conference and this year was a big crowd with over 5,000 bloggers, speakers, brands and others. After a few days filled with laughter, sweat (incredibly hot and humid), reconnecting with old friends and making new BlogHer 2012 came to a close. The friendships formed at events like this are truly some of the greatest rewards of blogging.
One of my favorite audios this year was Catch me if you Can by Frank Abagnale. I saw the movie a couple of years ago and thought it was just ok. But the audio version was great. Loved the reader.
I see that you have read the Bloody Jack series too. I'm listening to the 5th book right now. The reader is great for these books. But I'm a sucker for accents.
