WinRAR self-extracting archive keep on popping up on my desktop and it looks like it installing but it never finish .i try to look for this program on my uninstall program but I can find it even if I search for it I can find it.
Have you recently installed any software or drivers, or anyone else who has access to that computer may have tried installing anything at all? Look in Control Panel > Programs and sort by date to see what was installed most recently (which may not show if installation was never completed, but it also might).
A malicious file, virus, trojan, ransomware, or even a blocked part of the install can also apply to your other post, so follow the advice there and here as if it applies to both and both are possibly related, until proven otherwise. - windows script host
Make sure you have data backups, but scan them for signs of infected files/downloads. Disk images and bare-bones system images also help with backup and restore in cases of infection, if you have a plan in place, now may be the time to test and use it.
This may be an installer for some software or driver that you tried to install, that part of it was blocked by your security software and it keeps running, and running, and running, never.
If this is a home computer, your best bet is to still reinstall everything. Being in IT you should have known to keep all of the resources to reinstall everything and have them on hand for such instances.
I recently switched from i7-8700K to i9-9900K. When on 8700K there were no problems with WinRAR (5.80 stable, x64), then on 9900K WinRAR suddenly stops while processing (randomly) and both WinRAR windows disappear. Application gets crash and from dump I can read with WinDbg that there was "invalid instruction".
Ok, Intel Customer Support will need to look into this. To help them with this reproduction, please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows and then upload (using the paperclip icon below) the resulting report file.

The motherboard manufacturer needs to do more research. In my opinion, of course. Placing the blame on [faulty] intel design is unfounded and premature. Intel does not manufacture the motherboard or memory, and does not test them. Are you of the belief that asus cannot be the problem?

I already do that now, but i had all my library models winrar. so i have to unpack all my files... this issue new for me, im using 3ds max more than 15 years and this is the first time facing this issue. i don't know what the problem! Is 3ds max had new protection level and how i can back to use winrar window to drag and drop.
