Speedtrap Ride Tuesday September 1st recap
The official Speedtrap Ride out of Elmore last night was canceled because of a light sprinkle close to ride time. However, eight cyclists came to Elmore to ride an unofficial Speedtrap Ride.
Six cyclists rode the full Speedtrap route and averaged 20.5 mph. There were some scattered raindrops in the beginning but no major rain. It cleared out early in the ride. Those six cyclists are pictured below.
There were also two Sweet Pepper Riders: Claude Watkins and Candy Langoria. They rode out earlier. No report from them.
After the ride, the group celebrated the kick-off of Kathy Metzger’s birthday month as she finally turns 18!
Thank you Andy Gundlach for most of this report and the photos below.
The Speedtrap Ride will resume next week, Tuesday, September 8th. The pizza party will also be next week. As sunset will occur well before 8:00, we will gather ready to ride in front of the bike shop at 6:15 pm, and after announcements, roll out by 6:20 pm.
Sign-in for the ride will begin at 5:45 in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
