Speedtrap Ride Tuesday September 9th recap
The best Tuesday night ride out of Ottawa County, the Speedtrap Ride, brought 30 hardy cyclists to Elmore this past Tuesday. The weather seemed to be perfect!
Scott Lang led the Ghost Pepper Riders and reported a riding average of 23.6 mph for his group.
Doug Metzger returned with his Cayenne Pepper Riders and with an average of 21.5 mph.
Ken South, back in great shape led his Habanero Riders to a 20.7 mph average.
Andy Gundlach had a group of six Jalapeno Riders and returned with an average of 18.9 mph.
The Sweet Pepper Riders had a 16.0 mph average
Because of the ideal weather, several riders gathered in front of the bike shop after the ride for drink and good conversation.
Pictured are some Speedtrap Riders before leaving Elmore.
Please join us next Tuesday, September 16th, for the next chapter of the Speedtrap Ride. The weather appears to be good for riding: a high temperature of 81 degrees, sunny skies, only an 8% chance of precipitation, but an ENE wind of 10 mph. Sunset will be at 7:40 pm, so ride time will be 6:08 pm. Sign-in will begin in front of the bike shop at 5:30. I hope to see you then!
Coming September 30th: Vintage Bike Night and Pizza!
