Speedtrap Ride Tuesday July 21st recap

Twenty hardy cyclists came to Elmore Tuesday night for what most said was a windy but great ride.

Doug Metzget led a combined Ghost Pepper/Cayenne Pepper group, and reported a 22.0 mph average on return to Elmore.

Ken South rode wikth three other Habanero Riders and returned with a 19.6 mph average.

Ken Shaw, substitute leader for the Jalapenos, reported a 17.2 mph for his group.

Claude Watkins was the lone Sweet Pepper Rider and returned with a 15 mph average.`

After the ride, several gathered in front of the bike shop for S’mores Night.

All who stayed enjoyed great conversation with fellow riders. Thank you to Andy Gundlach and his wife Melissa for coordinating the evening, and thank you to Andy for the photos below

The long-range weather forecast for next Tuesday, July 28th, calls for a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms, a high temperature of 83 degrees, and a northwest wind of 10 to 15 mph.

Next Tuesday will be Christmas in July! Don’t miss this! Sign-in for the ride begins at 6:00 in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
