Speedtrap Ride Tuesday June 16th
One of America’s great Tuesday night rides, the Speedtrap Ride, will roll out again tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16th, from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio, at 6:30 pm.
The weather for tomorrow’s ride will feature cloudy skies, a SSW wind of 11 mph, and a temperature of 68 degrees. Rain is predicted for tomorrow afternoon, but the forecast indicates it will be diminishing rapidly between 6 and 7 pm. Hopefully the rain will be over by ride time.
Scott Lang should be back to lead his Ghost Pepper Riders to a 23+/- mph average. Are you up to the challenge!!
Doug Metzger, leader of the Cayenne Pepper Riders, will likely return with an average of 21 to 22 mph.
Ken South will take out his Habanero Riders at a 20+/- mph average.
The Jalapeno Riders, led by Andy Gundlach, will average anywhere from 16 to 19 mph.
All others who would like to ride at a more casual pace, will be the Sweet Pepper Riders, and will likely ride a course slightly shorter than the other groups.
After the ride, several may gather for drink and good conversation.
Pictured are long-time Flatlanders and TAB members, and perennial Speedtrap Riders Doug and Kathy Metzger, as they appeared a few years ago. Hopefully the couple will be riding together for many more years to come!
The Speedtrap Ride is a joint venture of TAB and the Flatlanders Bike Club. The route takes cycles on QUIET country roads in Ottawa, Sandusky, and Wood Counties. Why not give it a try!! You’ll ride with some great people, too!
Sign-in begins at 6:00 in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
