Speedtrap Ride Tuesday June 30th
Ottawa County’s best Tuesday night ride, the Speedtrap Ride, will roll out again tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30th, at 6:30 pm from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio
It’s going to be hot! At ride time the temperature is predicted to be in the mid 90s. It will be sunny, with really no chance of rain. However, there will be a healthy WSW wind of about 14 mph, diminishing as the evening progresses.
If you plan to ride BRING EXTRA WATER.
Scott lang should be back to lead his Ghost Pepper Riders and will likely return with a 23.0+/- mph average. Are you ready!?
Doug Metzger, leader of the Cayenne Pepper Riders, will return with a 21 to 22 mph average.
Ken South. leader of the Habanero group, will probably not be in Elmore, so a substitute leader will likely be needed. Ken’s wife Mary has developed a bladder infection, and may require surgery. Please ! Thoughts and prayers for Mary!
Andy Gundlach will lead his Jalapeno Riders and will likely return with a 16 to 18 mph average.
All others who would like to ride at a more casual pace will form the Sweet Pepper Riders, and will likely cut off a few miles from the regular 25-mile route.
After the ride, several may gather in the air-conditioned bike shop for drink and good conversation.
Do you need a tube to carry in case of a flat? A gel for energy? Did you lose your cycling gloves? Then come to Elmore early for any last-minute item at the bike shop. Yes, Spoke Life Cycles supports the Speedtrap Ride, but Speedtrap Riders also help keep the bike shop in business.
