Speedtrap Ride Tuesday May 26th recap

Good weather, although cloudy, brought twenty-three hardy cyclists to Elmore on Tuesday for the Speedtrap Ride.

Scott Lang led his Ghost Pepper Riders and returned with an average of 23.0 mph

Doug Metzger reported an average of 21.4 mph for his Cayenne Pepper Riders.

Ken South, leader of the Habanero Riders, started out strong as a group of only three, then decided to take it easy and joined another group. Ken reported 17.8 mph on his return

The Jalapeno Riders, led by Andy Gundlach, started out as nine, but returned as seven with an 18.0 mph average.

John Galdeen and Claude Watkins left the Jalapenos, took a short cut, and returned to Elmore as the Sweet Pepper Riders having ridden 20 miles with a 16.3 mph average.

After the ride, several gathered in front of the bike shop for drink and good conversation.

Pictured is Trevor Weickert. Trevor is not new to the Speedtrap Ride. He rode with the Ghost Pepper Riders regularly until graduating from college a few years ago, when he left us. Welcome back Trevor!

Please join us next Tuesday, June 2nd, when the Speedtrap Ride rolls out once again. The forecast is for mostly sunny skies, a high temperature of 77 degrees, less than a 5% chance of rain, and a northeast wind of 11 mph

I hope to see you then.
