Speedtrap Ride Tuesday July 14th

One of America’s great Tuesday night rides, the Speedtrap Ride, will roll out again tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14th, at 6:30 pm from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio.

The weather forecast calls for sunny skies, no chance of rain, with a temperature in the low 90s at ride time, and a WSW wind of 9 mph. The WSW wind should make for an enjoyable second half of the ride.

Scott Lang will be on hand to lead the Ghost Pepper Riders, at an average likely to be 22 to 23 mph. Are you ready for the adrenalin rush!!!

Doug Metzger will take out his Cayenne Pepper Riders at a likely average of 21 to 22 mph.

Ken South, leader of the Habanero Riders, usually averages 20+/- mph.

Andy Gundlach, has kept his Jalapeno Riders on the move this season. Will the group top last week’s 19.2 mph average??!

All others who would like to ride at a more casual pace will form the Sweet Pepper Riders. Averages for the group have been 15 to 16 mph lately.

Pictured are frequent Speedtrap Riders Ron and Joyce Purk, and TAB ride leader and mechanic extraordinaire John Galdeen, from a few years ago.

Yes, the Speedtrap Ride DOES traverse quiet country roads. .And yes, the Speedtrap Ride DOES originate in another county. However, Elmore is about the same distance as Whitehouse from many parts of the Toledo metro area So why not give the ride a try! You’ll ride with some great people, too! Sign-in begins at 6:00 in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
