Speedtrap Ride Tuesday June 30th recap
Temperatures in the mid to upper 90s kept many regular Speedtrap Riders away Tuesday evening. However, nine hardy cyclists did ride. General comments after the ride were that it was hot, but not terrible. Riders also said that the return-to-Elmore portion was especially nice with a healthy tailwind.
Two groups rode out from Elmore
Doug Metzger, Mike Meiser, Randy Drewyor, and Bob Kayden formed the first group, pictured on the road/ Thank you Doug Metzger for that photo. Doug reported an average of 20.2 mph on their return.
Andy Gundlach, Dan Waggoner, John Galdeen, Loren Moore, and Claude Watkins made up the second group, pictured before leaving Elmore. Andy reported an average of 17.2 mph
For next Tuesday’s Speedtrap Ride, July 7th, the temperature will be much more favorable for riding Predicted is a high of 82 degrees, a 24% chance of precipitation, and partly cloudy skies. There will, however, be a NNE wind of 9 mph.
Yes, the Speedtrap Ride DOES take riders on quiet country roads. The Speedtrap Ride is also a collaboration between TAB and the Flatlanders Bike Club. It’s a great way to get connected with members of another club, and you’ll ride with some great people, too! Sign-in begins at 6:00 in front of Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio. I hope to see you then.
Coming soon! Speedtrap S’mores night!
