Speedtrap Ride Tuesday June 9th
The Speedtrap Ride, the best Tuesday night ride out of Ottawa County, will roll out again tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9th, at 6:30 pm from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio.
It appears that the weather will be favorable for cycling: a temperature of 80 degrees, cloudy skies, a SSW wind of about 11 mph, and only a 20% chance of rain.
The SSW wind should be a welcome change to the east and northeast winds of recent Tuesdays, making for a pleasant ride on the return-to-Elmore portion of the ride.
The Speedtrap Ride DOES travel quiet country roads. And yes…Elmore is in another county, nut….it is about the same distance to Elmore as Whitehouse is from much of the Toledo metro area.
Scott Lang will be on hand to lead the Ghost Pepper Riders, likely averaging 22 to 23 mph. You can do it!
Doug Metzger will take out his Cayenne Pepper Riders, at a 21 to 22 mph average.
Ken South’s Habanero Riders have been keeping up to their regular 20+ mph average.
The Jalapeno Riders, led by Andy Gundlach, also have been strong this early in the season. With a favorable wind, his group may top 18 mph.
All others who would like to ride at a more casual pace will form the Sweet Pepper Riders. If you’re not ready for any of the faster groups, this group is for you!
