Speedtrap Ride Tuesday, September 30 recap
The Speedtrap Ride, one of America’s great Tuesday night rides, brought thirty-four cyclists to Elmore Tuesday night for the final official ride of the 2025 season.
Ron Golden, (substituting for Scott Lang) led the Ghost Pepper Riders and reported a riding average of 23.1 mph
Doug Metzger and his Cayenne Pepper Riders returned with an average of 21.9 mph.
Ken South indicated his Habanero Riders had a 20.2 mph average.
Andy Gundlach took out his Jalapeno Riders and returned with an average of 19 mph.
The Sweet Pepper Riders left early because of the early sunset. John Galdeen from that group had a 17.4 mph average.
After the ride, several gathered inside the bike shop to celebrate vintage bike night with food, drink, and good conversation. Some riders rode their vintage bikes on the ride and thought their riding averages would be lower than usual. That didn’t seem to be the case!
Pictured are first-time Speedtrap Riders Chris and Jessie Miller. Welcome to the Speedtrap Ride!
Also pictured are some Habanero and Jalapeno Riders on the road. Thank you Todd Pollock for that photo.
Three more pictures show some Ghost Pepper Riders, Cayenne Pepper Riders, and Habanero Riders on the road. Thank you Bob Kayden for those photos.
And finally pictured are some Speedtrap partiers after the ride.
The official Speedtrap Ride resumes May 5, 2026. I hope to see you then.
