Speedtrap Ride Tuesday August 19th
The Speedtrap Ride, one of America’s great Tuesday night rides, will hold its next chapter tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19th, as riders roll out from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio, at 6:30 pm.
Predicted for the weather is  a temperature in the upper 70s to 80, with a WSW wind of 7 mph at ride time.  There is a 35% chance of scattered thunderstorms, but that’s a 65% chance of no thunderstorms!
The Ghost Pepper Riders(group A) will again be led by Scott Lang. If you ride in his group, expect to average 23+/- mph.
Doug Metzger will take out his Cayenne Pepper Riders(group B) and will expect to average 21+/- mph.
The Habanero Riders(group C) will be led by Ken South. The group’s averages lately have been just under 20 mph.
The Jalapeno Riders(group D) will be led by Andy Gundlach, and the group’s averages all season have been 18+/- mph.
All those who would like to ride at a more casual pace will form the Sweet Pepper Riders. Averages all season have been around 16 mph
Because of roundabout construction at US 23 and SR 105, All Speedtrap Riders must ride an alternate route for the rest of the season. There is yet another problem with the Speedtrap route. SR 582 has been chip sealed. The new route is below.
Sign-in for tomorrow’s ride begins at 6:00 in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
