Speedtrap Ride Tuesday July 21st
The Speedtrap Ride will hold its next chapter tomorrow, Tuesday, July 21st, when riders roll out from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio, at 6:30 pm.
It will be mostly sunny with a temperature in the low 80s and practically no chance of rain. However, there will be a WNW wind of 15 mph. The first eight miles of the ride will be against a strong headwind, but the return to Elmore should be most enjoyable.
The Ghost Pepper Riders usually average 22 to 23 mph. Scott Lang is on vacation, so a substitute leader will be needed.
Doug Metzger will take out his Cayenne Pepper Riders. The group usually averages 21 to 22 mph.
The Habanero Riders, led by Ken South, will average 20+/- mph.
Andy Gundlach, leader of the Jalapeno Riders, keeps his group on the move, usually averaging 18+ mph.
All others who would like to ride at a more casual pace will form the Sweet Pepper Riders.
The Speedtrap Ride brings out riders from both the Toledo Area Bicyclists(TAB) and the Flatlanders Bicycle Club, and it is on the riding calendar of both clubs. It’s a great opportunity to ride with cyclists outside your own club. Why not give it a try! You’ll ride with some great people, too!
After the ride, there will be a special treat! It will be S’mores night, all provided by the Flatlanders Bike Club. Be sure to hang around in Elmore a while for the fun and camaraderie
