Hello Flatlanders Members and Friends,
Christmas in July Speedtrap Ride 🎅🏻
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Christmas in July Speedtrap Ride last week! Between the festive red and green snacks, Christmas attire, and Scott Lang’s Grinch jersey, it was a memorable evening. A special thank you to Doug and Kathy Metzger for bringing the Solo Stove and hot dogs for everyone to enjoy after the ride.
Speedtrap Ride – Sunflower Edition 🌻
We’re especially excited for this week’s Speedtrap Ride because it’s our Sunflower Edition!
Doug Metzger has graciously volunteered to sit this ride out so he can serve as our videographer, while Chuck Nicewander will be his spotter. Thank you both for helping make this happen!
Doug has mapped a modified route that takes us past the blooming sunflower fields, where he’ll capture photos and drone footage as we ride by. This promises to be a one-of-a-kind cycling experience that you won’t want to miss!
MARR 🚲
Next Saturday is TAB’s signature cycling event, the Maumee Area River Ride (MARR). If it’s not already on your calendar, now is the time to add it. We hope to see plenty of Flatlanders out enjoying the ride!
Coast to the Oast 🍻
Flatlanders will once again be participating as a group in Coast to the Oast on September 19.
With 14 cyclists already registered, we’re currently the second-largest group. But let’s aim for #1!
If you haven’t signed up yet, don’t miss this opportunity to ride through the beautiful countryside of Ottawa County before enjoying great local beer, delicious food, and fellowship with other cyclists. With multiple route options available, there’s a ride for everyone. Invite your family and friends and join us!

Thank You Ride Leaders❤️
Most importantly, a heartfelt thank you to all of our weekly ride leaders. You truly are the heart and soul of Flatlanders. Your time, leadership, and dedication make our rides possible every single week. We sincerely appreciate everything you do.
See you soon on the roads and trails!
