Speedtrap Ride Tuesday, August 4th
The Speedtrap Ride, one of America’s great Tuesday night rides, will hold its Sunflower Edition this coming Tuesday, August 4th, when cyclists roll out from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio, at 6:30 pm.
The weather forecast for Tuesday evening at ride time calls for sunny skies, a temperature in the low 80s, no chance of rain, and an easr wind of 5 mph.
Scott Lang will lead the Ghost Pepper Riders at 22 to 23 mph. Are you up to the challenge??!!
Doug Metzger will be photographing riders as they sail past the sunflowers, so a substitute leader will be needed. The group usually averages 21 to 22 mph.
Ken South will take out his Habanero Riders, and will likely average 20+/- mph.
Andy Gundlach is keeping his Jalapeno Riders in good form and on the move. He’ll likely average 18+/- mph.
All others will form the Sweet Pepper Riders, riding at a more casual pace , usually 15+ mph.
After the ride, several may gather in front of the bike shop for drink and good conversation.
The sunflowers are in bloom on Emch Road, and are waiting for all riders to pass. A field of sunflowers in bloom is one of nature’s grand displays, so don’t miss this!
Sign-in for the ride begins at 6:00 in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
