Speedtrap Ride Tuesday June 23rd recap
Exceptionally nice riding weather with very little wind brought twenty-three hardy cyclists to Elmore last night for the Speedtrap Ride.
Dave Stover, substituting for Doug Metrzger, and Ken South, combined their Cayenne Pepper Riders and Habanero Riders into one group. Bob Kayden from that group returned with a 21.0 mph average.
Andy Gundlach’s Jalapeno Riders rode to a 17.7 mph average. Andy noted that his group did slow for a short distance to allow all riders to get back together after some fell behind
Claude Watkins of the Sweet Pepper Riders, of which there were four, returned with a 15.0 mph average
After the ride several gathered to rehash a great ride with excellent riding conditions.
Pictured are some Jalapeno Riders on the road. Thank you Andy Gundlach for those photos.
The weather forecast for next Tuesday, June 30th, calls for a 9% chance of rain, a high temperature of 96 degrees, mostly sunny skies, with a SW wind of 12 mph.
Sign-in will begin at 6:00 in front of Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore. I hope to see you then.
