Hi Mike

I would say he is fully grown in size, but he will body up and change
over the years. My first girl became totally mature and beautiful at
about 5. She was still wagging and playful at nearly 13 though!

Usually they are full-grown. The chest plates are the last to fuse and they continue to grow until that process is completed :)

I have two females.. mother and daughter. I have a breeder friend who also has fcr's. In my experience, a flatcoat is not mature until around 2.5 -3 years. When they DO mature, you will not need to ask, you suddenly realise that your dog is 'grown up' and, while still full of fun, is definitely looking at life differently. .

Hmmm. I don't know about that... I just love the higher level of understanding and communication... they NEVER become boring or totally obedient... but lovelier and lovelier!!! and wiser... and sneakier...
