Hi,

Is there any option in update-engine to set a specific version to update to ?

Thanks

Hello,

no, there is no way to fix it to a specific version but if you need to roll back, there are docs for it:

To update instances to a specific version you need to run your own update server.
This can either be a full server that syncs from the public server or it can be a small single-purpose server to only announce the specific version you want to force to be used.

The simpler option is to disable updates and install the version you want to stay on but in general I would recommend a setup which allows you to have automatic updates enabled.
By running Alpha and Beta on some of your nodes you can detect breaking changes early and adjust before they are rolled out in Stable.

Regards,
Kai

posting this for anyone who might have stumbled on here from google.
here are instructions for an airgapped update, which hint at going to a specific version. https://flatcar-linux.org/docs/latest/setup/releases/update-strategies/#airgapped-updates
