Hello everyone,

I was wondering about the status of the 2033.2.2 stable release.

Also the release can not be found by the update engine yet.

In general I'm wondering: What is the canonical source I can check to find out about a new release that is available?

Cheers,
Fabian

Hi Fabian,

3033.2.2 stable was released this week. There are a lot of steps involved in publishing a release (https://github.com/flatcar-linux/Flatcar/issues/618 for the most recent ones), there's no way to go live in all environments at once so in order to not block the process, there can be a couple of days between when things appear in some places compared to others (cloud marketplaces typically come last).

The json feed update was missed this time, we'll correct that and add some extra checks to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The release showed up delayed in update engine because we hit some issues with a recent release of Nebraska (the update engine backend) - see here: https://github.com/flatcar-linux/Flatcar/issues/622.

I'm not sure I can name a single canonical source of releases. It really depends on where you consume the update from: cloud marketplaces, directly from our release servers, or mostly as updates.

Bests,
Jeremi
