Dear community,

I wanted to have a look at flatcar Container linux and install it on a CloudStack environment.
But CloudStack is not listed as a supported Clouds even if there is a production image available in the release directory: flatcar_production_cloudstack_image.bin.bz2

I also found an github issue where some reference to cloudstack were removed (see https://github.com/flatcar-linux/flatcar-docs/pull/1)

So my question is what is the status of flatcar CloudStack support ?

thanks for any clarification.

Julien.

Hi Julien,

The CloudStack support of Flatcar hasn't been tested in some time. The published CloudStack images are built according to instructions that originate from the CoreOS days, and may still work, or not.

Try it out, and let others know. We do maintain an interop matrix (https://github.com/flatcar-linux/Flatcar/blob/main/interop-matrix.md) that could be updated if it still works.

Best wishes,
Jeremi
