I'm a long time 8.5 user and have successfully milled a whole lot of PCBs. I'm quite comfortable with the basic process; load Gerbers and Excellons, outline, make GCode, export. Delighted with how things work, delighted.
Something came up yesterday though .. again.
I had a pad for a screw hole on a single layer board. I decided I didn't want the pad, just the hole. This is not the first time I've made this "mistake".
My usual fix has been to go back to the layout software and change the pad from multi-layer to top layer only, then replot with holes in single layer pads, generate new excellons, reimport, etc.
Workable, but a pain.
It would SEEM that Flatcam allows me to edit things, but I can't quite figure out how to remove a single pad from a whole layer of pads and tracks.
Is this even possible? Am I off track ?
Thanks for any thoughts.
