* Michael Wise will be presenting his webDU topic:
"Hooking stuff up to Flash, just because you can"
Michael's an obsessive tinkerer -- the type of guy who likes to
dismantle the toaster and reassemble it so it can butter your toast
automatically for you with a biometric feedback loop to work out if
you want Jam or Vegemite as well (you should see what he did with
rebuilding Flex Data Services! - he made it make crumpets) Join him
as he hooks the Flash platform up to WII remotes, LED panels, Infrared
devices, multi-touch screens and more. Why? Just because... besides
who knows when that light bulb moment will strike for the next great
Flash powered device.
* Taking video whilst jumping out a perfectly good aircraft :
The pitfalls of live action video with John Friswell
John claims he has a licence to kill, just that he's never needed to
use it yet. Come hear and see what it takes to record live action
video as you plummet to a hard surface at 9.8 meters per second from a
very great height. See what sort of camera hardware these dare-devils
use and watch some of the amazing (and hilarious) results.
