I've load collada object (multiple marker) but it seemed to float.
When the camera is moved /rotated slightly, the object actually moving
quickly or disappear

How to make the object more stable?

thanks

I'm a newbie, but from what you wrote it could be just a bad marker
detection. Keep in mind that unfortunately this maker detection engine
is very sensible to light change and reflection. Try to print a bigger
marker, and play with the 'patternToBorderRatio' and 'minConfidence'
in the flarConfig.xml file

hope this helps,

"PatternToBorderRatio" ?? you mean we could change the values for it.
I remembered someone told me flarmanager only allow 0.5 by default and
you are not allow to change it.

it's been implemented in FLARManager for a release or two.

Hmm. Lol flarmanager version 0.7

Really? allow patternToBorderRatio to any size. even 100%.
Is it stable yet? if yes, I going to use it.

Look at my video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVVyBx9ZtAI

Under Learning Blocks
The Flarmanager version was v0.61 and I remembered at that time patternToBorderRatio only allow 0.5. not much or not less.
So I have a hard time creating new algorithm to make 3 square marker to detect one another including their rotation.

Although, my algorithm works but due to light issues. The detection is rather weak. Therefore, in stable.

Here is the previous post:

So if... if really the latest version works.
I just have to combine them into one marker. No need to worries about the x, y, z and rotation problem. plus flarmanger are improving the adaptive threshold.

Thanks so much for providing this information. I will post videos once I am done with it.

Hi there,
Have u checked the frame rate?
May be it is the issue with u r camera...
I am using flarmanager(multiple marker tracking + 3d model)
and the results are quit ok!!
Also remember that the complexity of the 3d model plays an important
role in detection....
U may also try to change the pattern resolution in flarconfig file.
Hp that helps

Hi,

The frame rate that I set was 30 pfs. However, when I open the camera
frame it's show a frame of 8-15 pfs. So you mean I should decrease my
frame rate setting to 15?

I will take a look in my pattern design. Usually, in the morning and
afternoon, the camera is able to detect. But during evening and night
when the room light is brighter. The detect is rather weak. Or very
poor.

Hi there,
the frame rate which u are getting is very week...
Please provide details of how complex is u r 3d model.
U should try to increase the frame rate.. The best way to do it is to use a good light source in the background + use a decent web camera

Hi,

The 3d model is not out yet but I will post online during this weekend. Basically, when marker "->", "c", "a" & "r" is are together. There will be a road and a car appeared. The car is make out of shapes and not details. The following is the example how my car will look like:

I was thinking of creating a background light. However, I do not know how to do it. Is there a guide or example for it? I know the web camera is quite weak. Haha budget... I am also doing multi-touch table so money could be a issues for us. But what kind of frame rate do you suggest for the camera?
