Job Title: QA Lead

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration 10 to 12 months

Rate: $50/hr on C2C (MAX)

Lead QA Responsibilities – Summary 

·         Requirements analysis  

·         Testing scope  

·         Test plan  

·         Test specific considerations (e.g., test data, environments, tools, skill sets etc.)

·         Test estimations 

·         Team leadership  

·         Preparing and executing text cases (as time allows, to demonstrate leadership and support team objectives) 

·         Monitoring test plan execution 

·         Defect management 

·         Test automation 

·         Continuous improvement  

·         QA governance  

Required Skills:

·         Test Automation - UI, backend, services layer automation - HP UFT is the tool of choice - Selenium is nice to have - but HP UFT is must.

·         Manual Functional QA knowledge / process understanding - HP QC is tool of choice

·         Understanding of agile processes would be a plus - if the candidate has the above two then we can ask him to prep on agile aspect quickly.

·         Also the resource needs to have excellent communication skill and ability to look beyond the immediate scope of work - to plan and take help as required from long term perspective

Lead QA Responsibilities – Detail 

·         Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.

·         Actively participate in user story grooming/elaboration sessions to analyze and understand business and technical requirements. Responsible for identifying testing scope.

·         Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating internal and external QA resources.

·         Responsible for preparing functional and non-functional (e.g., performance, security, compliance) test plans to ensure optimum test coverage on the agreed business and technical requirements. Collaborate with engineers/architects, dependent systems SMEs, BAs and lead discussions around test plans to obtain consensus/signoff from multiple stakeholders.

·         Ensure to identify test data needs, test environment needs/specifications and testing resource needs, document them in the test plan and obtain concurrence from respective teams/team members.

·         Execute Test Plans and document all deviations against what has been actually planned and continuously improve on closing the process gaps by leveraging relevant industry best practices.

·         Come up with test estimations for all planned testing levels* (e.g., System Testing, System Integration Testing, E2E Testing and UAT) and activities as per the identified testing scope.
