All, I wanted to briefly thank everyone for your interest in developing a community around a Fortran frontend for LLVM. We're working hard to setup the first code repository with a rebased version of Flang for public consumption. Given Google's recent decision to jettison their code hosting, we will host the forthcoming Flang codebase on github (
https://github.com/llvm-flang). I'll make a more formal announcement on this list once the code is available.
I would also like everyone to know that we're hosting a Flang workshop at next week's LLVM European developer meeting in London. Thanks to Carlo Bertolli for spearheading the workshop submission! For those attending the LLVM dev meeting, the Flang workshop will be Tuesday from 15:20-16:20 in the Track2 (LG02) room. The agenda for the workshop is below. For those not attending the workshop, we have confirmed that the talks will be recorded and posted online.
15:20-15:25: Intro - Carlo Bertolli
15:25-15:50: Flang - Description/Status/How to contribute - John Leidel
15:50-16:05: University of Glasgow - Christian Urlea
16:05-16:10: ARM - Amara Emerson
16:10-16:15: IBM - Carlo Bertolli
16:15-16:20: Open discussion and concluding remarks
Many thanks go out to the following folks for help organize this effort:
- Hal Finkel: Argonne
- Carlo Bertolli: IBM
- Kevin O'Brian: IBM
- Andrew Richards: Codeplay
- Amara Emerson: ARM
- Wim Vanderbauwhede & Christian Urlea: University of Glasgow
Best Regards,
John Leidel
